Invisible Man Blog

Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison is about the life of a black man. I really didn't enjoy this novel at all. I found it boring, hard-to-follow, and dull. Even though much action and many events took place, it was very introspective and difficult to keep my attention. I don't think the author was effective. He was too introspective. I think this novel says that the black man in this setting was overlooked. People didn't want to acknowledge them, and instead pretend that they simply weren't there. This led the narrator to become an invisible man.
